Well, I am now at 14+ weeks preggie. It was supposed to be 16+ weeks kalau ikutkan period date, tapi bila scan baby comel ni kecik by 2 weeks. Dr Marsita kata, maybe aku conceive lambat. So mmg kena ikut size dan umur scan, because it is more accurate katanya.
At 14+ weeks ni, Alhamdulillah sickness dah beransur hilang. Dah tak muntah sangat (tapi semalam terbluekk jugak sekali), just feeling feeling pening tu the the whole day ade. As long as aI can eat whatever I want, I am a happy woman already :)
But saya sangat risau dengan weight gain ni weh. Masa pregnant Aryan, I gained freakin' 19kgs uols ! Hoih takut aku tgk perut and of course mesin penimbang after deliver Aryan adalah musuh ketatku. Rasa seksa sangat nak back to pre-pregnancy weight. And the fact is sampai pregnant second ni pun, still tak dapat that weight. Choiii! Ada 3 more kgs to shed off, tapi sebab dah pregnant ni, lupakan saja hasratmu itu.
This time around, I am trying hard to be really picky in terms of food intake (kot?). Trying my best to eat healthily and not necessary to be eating for TWO pun. Janji makanan itu menyihatkan. Additional calories utk preggie mommies hanyalah dalam 300 kCal per day only. Bukan 3 pinggan nasi berlauk extra per day ok. 300 kCal tu macam sebijik potato bun je.. Igt tu igt tu Erin !
Pe lagi. Eh and I also registered to this program - EMpowering pregnancy by Pitter Patter. Wakaka dah second pregnancy pun sibuk nak gi program cenggini kheenn. But we never stop learning kan. And every pregnancy is different. So do not expect kalau kau dah anak 4 pun, macam dah terrer sgt and you know everything already. There are lot more to learn mommies.
Based on the weigh gain calculation kat Pitter Patter website ni, I should be gaining weight between 11-16 kgs. So masa Aryan dulu terlebih 3 kgs. Oops.
How much weight gain is normal during pregnancy?
You are expected to gain approximately 25 – 35 lbs (11 – 16kg) in pregnancy. However, the appropriate weight gain in pregnancy actually depends on your pre pregnancy weight or body mass index.
Body mass index (BMI) = your weight in kg
your height in meter2
For Asians, the BMI are categorized slightly different compared to the Caucasian populations.
