1st visit to Pantai Hospital KL (Dr Idora)

Sekejap saje masa berlalu. Dah 21 weeks pregnant, Alhamdulillah..

Being so 'lalang' , I still mencari-cari hospital mana (or it's more to Obgyn mana) yg aku nak deliver dengan. I posted an entry about Dr Marsita before, but after some time I did not feel like delivering my baby at the Columbia Asia hospital. Ni sebab otak dah set & dah habes 'terpengaruh' to deliver as natural & gentle as possible. And I just found out that ada female Malay doctor yang accept water birth or dok dalam air for pain relief. Hanya Hospital Pantai KL yang boleh accomodate this. The Obgyn there is Dr Idora Mohamed. So tanpa berfikir panjang, aku trus called her nurse for an apppoitment.

No, please don't get me wrong. I am very positive dengan previous Obgyn, Dr Marsita. As I said, she always makes me feel sgt tenang and gembira bila check-up. Very friendly & motherly, and so senang to approach her. But ada few things that made me decide to switch to Dr Idora :

1) I really hope for a gentle & natural birth this time (please pray for me, yes? ). A friend of mine tried to achieve gentle & natural birth at the Columbia Asia Hospital, but they did not take 100% of your request. Basically the nurses yang tak berapa nak cooperate.
2) If keadaan & kesihatan baby & I mengizinkan, I would opt for a water birth / pain relief in water. I had considered this for a long time, cuma just recently found a female Muslim obgyn yang boleh buat this procedure. Before this I thought hanya Dr Choong sahaja yang buat.
3) Waiting time tunggu doctor yg ada hanya hari Rabu 10am-1pm tu sometimes buat hati saya panas dan tak sabar. Haha. MNI pun selalu merempan sebab kena tunggu up to 5 hours. I understand, mmg kalau nak Muslim female obgyn semestinya waiting time lama gila. Cuma mungkin kalau doctor tu berada di hospital 4 days a week, kita boleh manage our time more efficiently, compared to doctor yg hanya ada kat situ 3 hours per week.

Thre you go. Pegila saya terkedek-kedek ke Pantai Hospital KL. Dah la MNI takde during the first visit tu. So saya angkut mama saya yg kebetulan teman saya di KL, sebab raya haji all my families raya di KL. Sebab kesian nak suh saya balik kampung, and of course kesian kalau saya raya 2 beranak dgn Aryan kat KL.

Patients Dr Idora pun boleh tahan ramainya ! So kesimpulannya, waiting time ni mmg tak boleh nak elak kot. Jgn lah kau expect menunggu sejam je boleh trus dapat jumpa doctor. Sebab tu lah kan, sape ada anak pompuan tu, suh la anak jadi Obgyn. Memang negara ni tak ramai female muslim Obgyn kannnnnn?

But for 1st visit tu, saya patient no 3. Pastu masa Dr Idora dah sampai, patient no 1 & 2 tgh gi breakfast. So saya lah yg dapat masuk dulu. ALhamdulillah.

Memang Dr Idora tu best :)
1) I directly told her I want a natural & gentle birth. And if possible a water birth. She said ok no problem. Tengok keadaan baby & I towards masa nak delivery nanti sebab water birth ada conditions yang kena fullfil. And dia siap-siap tulis dalam buku on my request itu.
2) Pergh dia punya explanation masa scan tu, macam lah aku ni doctor. So specific, details and bercerita bukan main panjang lebar. I think better if she could use alternative words for lay-man non-medical background people like me ni kan. Dia bgth setiap tulang tu apa nama.. mmg lah aku blaja biology dulu. But konfemlah dah ke laut ingatan tu.
3) Dr Idora ni bercakap punyalah soft & to me sgt perlahan. Patut kena kuatkan sikit volume suara dia. Bape kali jugak aku minta dia cakap kuat sikit.

Tapi in terms of hospital itu sendiri, memanglah tak boleh lawan PCMC. Even masa check-up with Dr Marsita dulu pun aku dah reset minda (cewah) yang hospital tu takkan sama mcm PCMC. Ward kat PCMC tu so far the best la aku rasa. Tapi unfortunately aku nak Obgyn yang boleh support & accomodate my request & wish. And also hospital & nurses yang jugak boleh cooperate dgn apa yg aku nak , InshaAllah.

So many people asked me knapa sibuk nak gentle & natural birth ni ??? Kalau taknak sakit bagai, amik sajelah epidural and other pain killers kan sgt bnyk.

Hypnobirthing is one of the method to achieve a gentle & natural birth. Since kat Malaysia sendiri dah ada bnyk jugak support to go for this method, so kita try lah. I'll share perkara-perkara yg aku harapkan takkan berulang semasa deliver Aryan dulu in my second delivery ni nanti. And knapalah aku sibuk Kak Jemah sgt dengan benda-benda ni semua.

Aite peolple. I am still counting days for MNI to come back home. This time is the longest yang dia meninggalkan kami tau. Sedih ? Dah tak mampu dah bersedih dah. Immune sudah. Haha. Yang pasti he got something for me from Paris. Tu dah happy dah ;p Wakakaka.
